WHY BE
THERE?
|
Top 3 Reasons:
1. For starters, the War for Talent has long gone global - and your international competitors want more than their share of an already rare commodity: Human Capital!
2. If diversity was ever on your agenda, it now must have a specific raison d'être to survive criticism; beyond the right thing to do, diversity efforts must directly tie to the bottom-line for businesses.
3. This is a unique way to gain a huge competitive advantage in a world of increasing reach-out and accessibility challenges, in emerging and locally diverse or global marketplaces.

 |
Terese Corey Blanck, M.Ed. is the founder of College to Career, Inc. (www.collegetocareer.net), a Twin Cities company whose publications and seminars help college (and college-bound) students pursue purposeful, satisfying careers after college. She is also the co-author of two companion books: The College to Career Road Map: A Four-Year Guide to Finding Your Path (for college students) and The College to Career Road Map: A Four-Year Guide to Coaching Your Student (for parents of college students), both released in October 2006 by Atwood Publishing (www.atwoodpublishing.com) of Madison, Wisconsin. |
Terese has more than a decade of experience placing college students and recent graduates into internships and entry-level jobs. Through her work first with the Twin Cities office of entry-level staffing firm GradStaff and more recently with internship and placement company Student Experience, she has screened, interviewed, and hired hundreds of college students over the last 18 years, learning firsthand what they do right and what they do wrong when choosing their career paths. She’s shared her expertise with an assortment of media outlets, including The New York Times, Monster.com, and College Bound magazine.
Terese holds a master’s degree in college student development from Colorado State University and worked in higher education for 12 years.
